The 9th Annual Roanoke (Texas) Writers Conference is just a few days away! It was a little touch-and-go for a moment, but everything is turning out amazing, especially since we have confirmed that there will be coffee!
In addition to a ton of excellent presentation and content, we’re also feeding your creative souls with some unique and wonderful items from vendors:
- North Texas Wildlife Center – They’ll be there all day to give our writerlings a chance to examine and describe animal life up close and personal (within reason). They’ll also be giving a presentation about recognizing wildlife in our area at 4:00. Remember to pitch in a few bucks to keep our opossums, turtles, birds, and other creatures well-cared for!
- Loon Libri Journals and Books – hand-bound and hand-made books, journals, and covers
- Moon Wolf Provisions – purveyors of fine coffee, tea, tacos, and pastries!
- A Stitch and a Kiss – purses, bags, journal covers, all hand-made and high quality!
- Carpe Diem Comics – games, comics, and other astounding nerderies!
- Dark Moon Memoirs – because you can never have too many journals.
While the general rules is that nothing is set in stone until it comes back from the printer, we’re still likely to add a few names to this list before the end of the week!
Just a reminder, though, that the Roanoke Public Library is closed on Friday in observance of Veteran’s Day, and also that the Veteran’s Day Parade will be happening on Saturday at 11 am, we believe. We’re going to be here all day no matter what! If you didn’t get a chance to grab your tickets online, we’ll have some at the door.
The library is also going to be open to the usual patrons, and the weather is supposed to be perfect autumn form. We can’t wait to see you there!
